The dimensions look slightly larger than other mattresses. Will this fit in my crib?

The Pure (and all other Nook crib mattresses) are built to the larger variance of the Standard US Crib/Crib Mattress dimension range due to the strategic construction of our mattresses. Nook mattresses are made free of inner springs, which allows for a bit of give on each side of the mattress. By building our mattresses slightly larger, it will ensure a safe, snug fit at the base of any US Standard crib.

What makes the Pure more organic than the other mattresses on the market?

This is simple. Every material found in the Pebble Pure is certified organic and sourced from the earth. coconut husk, all natural rubber tree latex, unprocessed wool, organic cotton and eucalyptus—it doesn't get much more organic than that. While others offer mattresses with some organic materials (ex: organic cotton fill or covers), they are often combined with non-organic materials like food/medical grade plastics, polymer or metal inner springs. 

If the Pure cover is not waterproof, how does it protect the mattress from messes and accidents?

Naturally, of course! Mirroring the way plants repel water in nature, the Nanosphere technology used on the Pebble cover safeguards your mattress from unwanted accidents and small messes without compromising breathability.

Will the Dream Cotton fit in my crib?

Yes! All Nook crib mattresses are designed to fit any standard US crib. Built to the larger variance, this build ensures a safe and snug fit at the base of the crib.

What makes the Dream Cotton crib mattress good for my baby?

One of the many benefits of denim is its breathable, yet structured twill weave. This construction allows the mattress to be firmly structured (best for spinal development) while allowing air to move freely, guaranteeing that fresh, oxygen-rich air always surrounds baby (which is safest and best for brain development).

What does up-cycling mean?

Upcycling gives discarded materials new life. It is the process of transforming a material into something new that offers a better value while making a positive impact on the environment (in this case, it means taking landfill-bound blue jeans and transforming them into a safe, innovative and comfortable crib mattress).

Does the Air have the same warranty as the Pure, Denim and Lite?

It sure does! Nook offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty on each of its crib mattress cores from date of purchase with proof or purchase. You can buy with confidence!

How can I tell which side is the infant side?

On the side of the mattresses intended for infant sleep, you will see a small tag marked "infant." If you don't see a tag, please contact us at info@nooksleep.com.

What's the difference between the Air and the Denim?

The Air and Lite mattresses are both non-toxic using the highly regarded CertiPUR-US Foam; however, the Lite has an additional breathable layer called PETE (BPA-free recycled water bottle plastic) while the Air is 100% CertiPUR-US Foam. The Air is ultra-lightweight at only 7 lbs. while the Lite is heavier at 17 lbs. They share the safe, non-toxic fire barrier and are both dual-sided.
